Design Summary
The Simple Logo for a Makeup Brand was an interesting project for me as it was the first time I went beyond what the project wanted. Per the Sharpen prompt I was just to create a simple logo and that was it, as far as the prompt goes. I thought that was a little too bare bones for enhancing my skills, so I decided to create a mockup of the logo on a makeup tube to further build my package design portfolio.

The Process
Starting with the sketches I wrote some attributes for makeup: Beauty, elegant, flashy, visual, pretty, etc. Colors I usually attribute to makeup: Red, pink blush, peach, pale, black. From there it was time to get sketching. Below you can see those iterations. Keeping it simple I liked keeping with a simple logo that would be the two initials of the brand Kragt Cosmetics.

Final
The final is as straightforward as the sketches. I just wanted a simple logo with the KC in a simple reducible box logo, I went with the pink color as that is something I attribute the most to makeup and makeup brands in general. From there I found a makeup tube mockup and added the KC logo along with the gold color and the strokes along the tube to add some movement to the composition.
