Trailer Park Interactive is the name of games studio my girlfriend and I came up with when we were trying to think of a developer studio name that we needed in order to access dev mode on the meta quest headset, I have played around with Unreal, Godot, and Game Maker Studio in the past and game dev/design is something that I wish to explore further. Back to the logo, we came up with the name Trailer Park Interactive because she had lived in a manufactured home complex at one point, and she always used to joke “you’re making this place look like a trailer park” so there’s the inspiration for the name!
With the name selected it was time to get to work on sketches. My biggest struggle was deciding between TPI or spelling out Trailer Park Interactive. Below I have examples of both, during this ideation phase I really fell in love with the idea of having the type wrap around the trailer. It created some interesting results.
The final logo spells out the studio name while having the Trailer and Park mold to the trailer itself. I went for something simplistic, monochromatic, and iconic. To make stretching typography work I have found that fitting strokes of the characters to similar areas in a composition creates a good sense of hierarchy and movement within a piece.
